How to get there

The venue is located in Gura Siriului, in Transylvania. It is approximately 3 hours away from Bucharest. Click here to find it in Google Maps.

The venue is in a remote area in the mountains, and can be complicated to reach if not planned well enough. We strongly recommend you follow our recommendations:

Getting To Romania

flying from within Europe:

Fly to Henry Coanda airport. If you are flying from Copenhagen, WizzAir has direct flights departing on Wednesday the 21st and Thursday the 22nd. Romania is not in Schengen, so expect slightly longer queues in immigration on both sides.

Flying from outside of Europe:

Fly to Henry Coanda airport. Remember to check if you need a visa. If you are planning to fly to another country in Europe first, keep in mind most large cities in Europe have low-cost, direct flights to Bucharest; we recommend checking options in www.momondo.com

Getting To the venue

If you want to rent a car

There are plenty international car rental companies offering rentals from the Henry Coanda airport. Keep in mind you might be asked for a credit (not debit) card. We have rented from CarHunt.com (here) and have been very happy with their service; you can also get a 10% discount when using the voucher code FR2023KHN! .

Use the app Waze for directions (click here to download); in Romania, it has more accurate information than Google Maps.

For a direct drive from Bucharest take the DN1 road to Ploiesti, then the DN1A road to Nehoiu, and finally the DN10 road.

If you'd like to do some sightseeing along the way and don't mind adding an hour of driving, we recommend making stops at Sinaia, Busteni and Brasov.

If you want to ride a (free) van:

We will organise a shuttle from Bucharest to the venue on Friday afternoon, and from the venue and surrounding accommodation back to Bucharest on Sunday noon. We will share the itinerary of the shuttle, closer to the date.
